I'm trying to find a job at either FedEx or UPS, cause I NEED MONEY, and i'd like a physical job, but their goddamn websites don't have a phone number where i can contact them for employment opportunities. Everything is web-based now! I fill out an application like a month ago for FedEx online, and they're like "blah blah we're happy you applied and we will contact you" a month later i'm still jobless. I want a number to contact these guys to hurry up the freakin process and let me know for sure i have a job or not. I look all over UPS's website and they have the same set up. How did people without computers end up getting jobs at theses places?! I actually went to a FedEx hub yesterday and the lady tells me to go online and find the Employment hotline... sorry, but it doesn't exist!

Yes, it's all online.

If/when they need people they send you an e-mail. You show up with a group of people, tour the facilities, & then apply/interview if you still want it.

I tried to get on with UPS before the holidays, they didn't want anybody for the shift I could work.

Never heard anything back from them.

what happened to the good ol' days fo the application.

I mean Target and Home Depot have this little station set up where they ask you a thousand questions for an application... but they never call you back either.

I got my job at UPS by going to an unemployment center. Got a job the next week. Oh, and look at this.

Part-time candidates may also call 1-888-WORKUPS for information

Found that in about 20 seconds. My friend got an interview thru the phone number in about a week also. Good luck. It's a great job.

They came recruiting at my campus for UPS. If you really can't find the numbers to call then just call the regular customer service and ask them! BTW, when you go to the interview you should bring a box with 100 pounds of stuff in it. Just carry it in like you do this all day. You'll be hired in no time!

Er, just joking about the box ;).

Same thing everybody starts at - Loading/Unloading at a distribution center.

I used to throw freight at Target, I loved it.

BTW, I got the job at Target through one of the kiosks...

No, bring the box and jump up and down on it during your interview. That'll show them that you're experienced and will fit right it.
