I just searched kazaa real quick and found it easy. It is truly classic tv :p

Edit: although it is 160x120 :( And yes, plenty of people will tell you it was staged. Who knows though.

I heard it was staged, too. Probably was, 'cause Everett didn't really go to Rome's ass like you would if you were REALLY pissed at him. I saw it, and don't even recall Everett throwing a punch; He just kind of went across the table and knocked Rome over, IIRC. Then the crew jumped in.

Just watched that from your link. Hadn't seen it in a long time. Rome looked A LOT different than now. He must be really small, because Everett looked HUGE compared to Rome. And I don't recall Everett being a monster or anything.

his facial hair really helps him out now. He looked like a little kid back in the day.

Big time woman tennis player during the 80's I believe. I am not too sure who Jim Everett is though.

Former LA Ram's QB.

To summarize:

Jim Everett: Football QB
Chris Everett: Woman tennis player
Jim Rome: Interviewer (pretty cocky and likes to bag on people)

Rome kept calling Everett "Chris" implying that Jim E plays like a woman. Jim E said something like "If you call me Chris one more time I'm coming over this table and we'll have to go to commercial". Rome said "Ok, Chris", at which point Jim Everett through the table over and sort of knocked Rome over and hovered over him, but didn't do much else as some other stage people came into the picture. I personally don't blame Jim Everett.

Rome acts like he thinks Dennis Miller would, if Dennis Miller were to ever stoop to doing a Sports Show...

I really don't like him... he's annoying, arrogant, uninformed, and generally makes stuff up on the spot... I don't know why people watch him, as he has to be one of the biggest pricks ever..

Dennis Miller did stoop to doing a sports show...it's called Monday Night Football.

I love Rome. He's funny and has a very subtle sense of humor.

I, personally, believe that he is very informed and the opinions that he expresses are founded in his observations.

shyte... i forgot all about that..... though it's not in the same vein of "sports Show" as to that which I was referring... I was looking more at the "Enquirer-esque" sports shows...

still..

Rome rocks. He's quite a funny character when he starts ripping on somebody. He's smart and usually on top of things which really makes his little jabs funny. You don't have to agree with everything somebody says to like them.

I like Rome quite a bit. However, he reiterates his opinion OVER and OVER a little too much. It's a well thought-out opinion, but I usually get it the first time he states it.

I can see why someone wouldn't like him, but he is definitely not uninformed.

This is true. He will beat a dead horse.

Did you guys hear the day when he was pontificating (in jest) about the virtues of wanting his daughter to grow up to be a porn star?

God, I was laughing my ass off. People calling/emailing thinking he was serious...

It was a classic!
