The fish isn't about spreading the word, it's about telling the world that you are a Christian. It's flaunting, and it's purpose is self reassurance and pride. Jesus preached against that.

In your opinion.

I see you weren't able to argue with what I said, so reverted to your failsafe "rebuttal".

The Jesus fish also means a crappy driver

I would have to disagree with you. I have a Jesus fish on my car (and a reflective decal on my motorcycle) and in the words of Dustin Hoffman, I'm really an excellent driver.

I have a great driving record, but it's not because I think I'm an excellent driver. It's because I KNOW i'm not. So I don't drive like a retard.

Everyone who drives like an idiot thinks they're nascar material. If they didn't think they were such a great drivers then they wouldn't be barreling down a twisty road at 100+mph, or weaving through traffic on a busy interstate. I can't count the number of highschool friends on both hands who thought that they were Mario Andretti but ended up totaling car after car. So you can see that someone saying "I'm an excellent driver" throws up more of a red flag to me than anything.

Saw a vehicle this weekend with every possible fish. Jesus, darwin, even weird ones like cat and dog that were fish with feet and tails. The problem is, when you see the vehicle from a distance it just looks like the person is a total nutcase and has 30 jesus fish on their car.

IIRC, he worked based on a loan from the parents.

I don't have the luxury of having parent's money to work with. I simply used the company credit line to my advantage. Not that it's a bad thing, but let's call a spade a spade and realize we're both in two different positions.

I also do guns, tractors, trailers, and scrap jewelry. Before I was strictly computer stuff, and that just dosen't pay in the long run unless you can get regular discounting. One major problem with dealing in computer stuff is that there's WAY TOO MUCH competition and everyone's too damn cutthroat.

yep, azurik worked based off of the loan, and he also had his father take care of all of the accounting since he started.

In other words, he had a head start. Not to discount what he's done, but it's much harder to make $100k out of $0 then it is to make $400k out of $200k.

It was a joke. From "Rain Man".

There's nothing to argue. It's your opinion. Enjoy it.

There's no opinion here. It's a clear interpretation of the text and the act. Deal with it. Of course, seeing as how you're a (supposed) Christian with a Jesus Fish on his car I doubt I'll be hearing much reasoned justification coming from you.

The bolded part is opinion. I'm not disagreeing with your statement regarding telling the world I'm a Christian.

Telling the world you're a Christian is flaunting. It serves no purpose that cannot be achieved without it. It's only purpose is as a proud display. Jesus told people to spread the word of God, not carry around their faith like a label. In fact, he preached against it, as I already said.

I don't see it that way. I use it to open up conversations about faith, God, and Jesus. Period. It doesn't make me feel superior to anyone.
