After much buzz, Jermaine Jackson has confirmed rumors that his brothers, including Michael, are planning a Jackson 5 reunion tour. According to an interview with the BBC, the group could hit the stage "sometime in 2008."
"Michael will be involved," Jermaine said. "We feel we have to do it one more time. We owe that to the fans and to the public."
The original boy band last appeared on stage together in 1984, after the release of 'Victory,' which was their first and last album including all six brothers: Jermaine, Randy, Michael, Tito, Marlon and Jackie.
Jermaine said the group held off on previous plans to hit the road due to Michael's very public child molestation trial in 2005.
"There's been so much going on, getting over all the hurdles that we all were faced with during Michael's trial," Jermaine said. "But we are stronger than ever. I'm gonna say thank you, thank you, thank you so much to all the fans and the supporters of my family ... who came out to show their love and their support."
Jermaine also alluded to the possibility of a new Jacksons record, stating that the band was "in the studio at the moment."
