The itching

So I went fly fishing at a local pond the other night. I didn't bring any insect repelant and thought I'd take a few insect bites for the team and get some practice in. It ended up being one of the dumbest things I've ever done. I probably have malaria three times over with five cases of West Nile virus. 😛 Oh, and yes, I did catch a fish.

Cliff Notes: Use bug spray.

Looks like just rewards to me. 😛

This was my 3rd time out fly fishing in like 10 years. I actually caught a decent fish, so I consider it worth while. 🙂 It was dumb, but worth it.

That's not so bad. When I went to Taiwan when I was 5 (13 yrs ago), I got so many bug bites that the area around my right ankle became one huge bite. Literally. It itched like a b!tch. Since then Taiwan's mosquito problem has gotten better, as they sprayed the whole island since then.

Try toothpaste. Seriously, I just learned that today, but was doubtful... I tried it (my case wasn't as extreme as yours though) and the itching is gone.

Hard to believe the mosquitoes could make through all that pubic hair on your legs.

Hardy har har. 😛

This stuff is what I used this morning. It worked pretty well. I didn't start itching again until 8 hours later when I took my socks off after yet another fishing trip.
