The issue is a bit sexist

It seems the only issue here is that some advocate (and I must add, as a joke) violence against women. What about violence against men?

It seems more than a little hypocritical to police one end of the spectrum.

Not to mention these jokes were nothing more than that, even if some of them were in bad taste.

Perhaps moderating during your cycle is not such a great idea, but I regress.

Feel free to correct me. I'd love to understand the perspective of those involved.

When you said "I regress" you must have realized that the preceding comment had nothing to do with personal forum issues. See my reply below. Three days off. Next time, maybe you'll realize that you'd be better served by hitting backspace a few times, rather than hitting "reply." -Anandtech Senior Moderator DrPizza

I may or may not agree with you, but I don't see this ending well. Trolling PFI is frowned upon.

I'm not trolling, I would just like clarification. I would ask in private, but I guarantee there are others who want the same answers, and there's no reason why they should have any objection to explaining it in public.

Moderators have never been consistent, logical, or non-hypocritical in all the years I lurked/been a member.

You mean they really are human?

The answer to your first line is:
Those who have advocated senseless violence against others, regardless of their gender, race, etc., have been vacationed in the past, not just those advocating violence against women. We don't "only" police one end of the spectrum.

"Perhaps moderating during your cycle is not such a great idea, but I regress"
has absolutely nothing to do with your original question, nothing to do with Personal Forum Issues, and in my opinion, is an unwarranted personal attack. (Don't pretend you weren't singling out someone.)
The 4th line has earned you time off from the forums. So others know how this works, your user notes show a pretty clean record, thus I'm inclined to only give you 3 days off for a first offense.

For what it's worth, the particular moderator whom you are referring to discussed these questionable comments with other senior moderators prior to handing out any vacations. Furthermore, that moderator also looked back through the history to see that other moderators had also given out vacations for similar comments in the recent past.

Not the word you were reaching for, that would be 'digress', "but I regress" is all the more appropriate for you and your comments anyway.

For the record, the moderator you are calling out here with your highly inappropriate menstrual cycle reference conferred with and got the UNANIMOUS support of the moddom before she acted.

Female violence against men? Please. You pretty much define "whiny bitch" with that comment. And thus, the moderator you weakly attempt to slam and fail stands as the bigger and better MAN in comparison to you.

This troll thread will now be locked.
