The Irony of some computer reviews websites

Hardware reviews websites are talking about how to overclock, what cpu/video card to get.
knowing all the high techincal terms such as hypertransport, dual channel memory, terms most computer users in offices never heard of, all of this to help you get the most out of your current system or how to build the best fastest system you can.

Many not so popular computer reviews websites while offering all of this high computer knowledge, are actually advertising spyware.

And the irony is that this Spyware will infact slow down your computer and invade your privacy which is the exact opposite of what those sites are made for and what people who are viewing them want.
Then they setup their site's forums to help people with computers problems.

Recent sites I saw spyware advertisements are: http://www.3dgameman.com/forums/ http://www.guru3d.com/ http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/

I never click on any ads and as far as I know I haven't seen spyware ads on anandtech or tomshardware.

I'm sure most of you in ATOT will never fall for these ads and that we could understand that those sites are not as popular as Anandtech or Tomshardware so they are perhaps relunctantly put these ads just to make it, but it still an irony and I am certain some people fell to those ads.

These sites need to make money and unfortunately the IT industry works with such low margins that they cannot afford to advertise too much, that's why sites like the ones you pointed out are forced to accept ads from spyware companies. I really wish these sites were more aggressive in tapping companies like Dell for advertising rather than going to the adware scums.
