The iPhone has been unlocked :)

Funny how the kid says in the interview I read that he didn't want anyone to make money on this...and he turns around puts the thing on eBay (which last I heard had it up to $2K).

AT&T isn't going to be happy with this, they paid big money for exclusivity... Apple will be quite happy, however 😉
 
AT&T has let loose the lawyers and they have been throwing around the cease and desist orders. Many sites have stopped linking to the site offering the unlocking software. It in turn has decided to hold off on distribution until their lawyers advise them.
 
Personally I wouldn't want the iPhone on another carrier. Visual voice mail is one of the key features in my eyes and you lose that on another carrier.

 
ill get the iphone when it comes to sprint/cdma users in like 3-4 years. hopefully it should have all the bugs and kinks worked out and its ready to have apps installed on it!
