I remember that I was the first in my neighborhood to have windows, everyone else was still on DOS.

And I had a CompuSERV account. The first month... hahaha... I had BT, and between the connection charge and the internet and all the surcharges, my first month internet was almost 500GPB. and my hubby at the time wanted to kill me.
