The Internet Archive is Currently Down...

Tonight I have a need to view the Internet as it was, and in the past always I relied on the Wayback Machine @ the Internet Archive. However, it is currently down. I am trying to sift through google looking for alternatives. If anyone knows of any I would appreciate it!

Well, the Internet Archive website itself works; however, try typing something in the WayBack Machine--it does not currently work. The hompage even states that the Wayback Machine will be down on 10/12, but it is now 10/13 and I am still without an archive!

The site itself works, but not the actual searching.

Yes, its just that the Internet Archive's archive is down. 🙂

Is this the only website that offers such an archive ? My own searching is proving unsuccessful. And Google's cache is no comparison!

you're right... the archive is broken... don't think there' anything else. google might have a cache of it...

Oh well.

I had a college assignment due this morning, and there was an important source which no longer exists. Also, it is no longer in Google's cache. It is in the Internet Archive, however. Well, the assignment is completed--so it goes.

Too bad there are not any other websites that show what internet websites looked like in ages past!

I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem, it has been like this for days... 🙁

The backup to the wayback machine link was working this morning. Just make sure to throw the backup into your bookmarks. Although it must be noted, it is a lot slower than the regular archive.
