The inside of my boat-shoes smell like dog

Explain.

I don't wear them with socks so I know that it's the sweat, but it really smells just like the dog smell. Quite odd.

Anyway, is there anything that I can put in them to combat the smell but won't coat my feet(ie: odor powder) when I take them out.

Leather shoes are the worst because leather is porous and holds moisture, thus these smells grow in the pores. Best advice is to get a baking soda foot powder with a light scent and use it freely. If that's not enough to eliminate the odor, try washing the shoes in mild soap and warm water....let them dry thoroughly and spray with a deodorant spray a few times.

Baking soda sounds like a good plan.

I just wash mine, let em dry real good, and spray em down....lasts for a few weeks, then repeat...........I'm not sure it's dog that they smell like, but definitly DogSH*T.........
