Costco CFO Richard Galanti revealed last Thursday that its famous hot dog-and-soda combo deal of $1.50 will remain in place despite record-high inflation.

The retailer’s famous $1.50 hot dog-and-soda combo has remained unchanged since it was first introduced in the 1980s.
The company was forced, however, to raise the price of its 20-ounce sodas from $0.59 to $0. 69, and its chicken bake from $2.99 to $3.99.

loves the hotdog combo!
but no more chicken bake for me. (but i didnt have it that often anyway when it was $2.99)

Stopped eating pizza there when they got rid the combo pizza during Covid :(

For it's value the slice of pizza is worth it but it's probably the greasiest pizza out there, so I don't get it often. The hot dog OTOH is an awesome deal. The only thing I dislike about it is that for a few hours after I eat it I'll burp up the smell and it stinks. I torture my coworkers with it so it's worth it, but it still stinks.

But that’s just it, if the big companies would offer some goodwill to the consumers, they could eat some of these costs and keep prices the same. Nope these companies are making record profits. 🤬
