the .inf file that won't go away

I have an NEC FE991SB and for really no good reason at all, I installed the monitor-specific driver (which is just an .inf file). But I noticed yesterday, that certain games as well as dvd software now cause the screen to flicker upon opening, and I know for a fact it didn't do that with the regular Plug n Play driver. I tried uninstalling the NEC driver but after every restart there it is again. How do I go back to the Plug n Play driver, eradicating the NEC .inf file once and for all? I did a search for it on my hardrive but couldn't ind it anywhere....
