Haven't seen City of God.

The Usual Suspects belongs nowhere near any of those, even the ones I don't particularly love (but still could see *why* they might be that high, i.e. Godfather). I just don't see why it's anywhere in the top 100.

Only because it's such an AWESOME movie.

Only ones of this list I've watched.

I haven't seen the usual suspects. Funny since I saw all the other ones. That movie has always eluded me... never was in a situation where it was suggested to be watch and don't think I know of anyone who has it to borrow, though I am sure someone does... Also it isn't a movie I have ever heard about being on TV. The movie has just escaped me. Hopefully will see it some time.

Looks like I've missed out on quite a few good flicks. Hmmm.... may be time to pick em up.

1. 9.1 The Godfather (1972) 207,413
3. 8.9 The Godfather: Part II (1974) 117,502

I never actually saw Schindler's List. Me and my gf were making our the whole time...

Wtf? You were making out during Schindler's List? Are you guys into BDSM stuff too, or what?
Nothing like a good ol' fashion genocide to get you all sexed up. Seeing people get shot gets me so HAWT!

For you kids who are too cool to watch Seinfeld, that is a direct quote. Pretty well known episode ta boot. Sorry kids; get cultured. This is no where near the types of obscure references that people will post on these threads. If you miss this one, I doubt you'd ever get any of the others.

3. 8.9 The Godfather: Part II (1974) 117,502
I didn't like the first one, so I never watched this.

4. 8.8 Buono, il brutto, il cattivo, Il (1966) 60,898
Never heard of, aside from seeing it on that list.

6. 8.8 Casablanca (1942) 98,110
I wasn't around in 1942, and these days, I doubt it's my kind of movie.

10. 8.8 Shichinin no samurai (1954) 53,556
Nope.

13. 8.7 Rear Window (1954) 62,548
14. 8.7 12 Angry Men (1957) 48,066

Never heard of.

17. 8.6 Cidade de Deus (2002) 63,887
Never heard of.

10. Shinchinin no Samurai
13. Rear Window
14. 12 Angry Men
17. Cidade de Deus

For those of you who haven't seen Shawshank, go get it immediately. I liked all that are on the list, however Shawshank is probably the one that is most likely to be enjoyed by just about anyone. Some of the others might not appeal to certain people, but I'd think Shawshank has the broadest appeal.

I saw Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Shawshank, and (unfortunately) Pulp Fiction. I fail to see what made that a tolerable movie, much less one of their "top 20."

It seems that alot of people sport a chubby when they see quentin tarantino's name in the credits.

I've only seen Pulp Fiction, Return of the King (got dragged to it), vaguely remember Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Usual Suspects was the only good one out of those to me.

I don't like old movies and have no desire to sit through them so that accounts for why I haven't seen most. That includes Star Wars.

Seen all of them... still don't know how Pulp Fiction and Schindler's List can rank so high though.

EDIT:Added the word Seen.

Seen them all, but honestly Schindler's List should not be there... and no matter how much I like Tarantino, Pulp Fiction does not deserve that high rank.

Excuse me while I go watch each episode of Seinfeld so I can catch these cute little quotes as if I gave a sh!t.

I'm just wondering if people say they never saw these movies because of the foreign titles?

Il Buono, il brutto, il cattivo = The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly - one of the best, if not THE best westerns of all time.

Shichinin no samurai = The Seven Samurai - i can see this being one that many people haven't watched because 1) its Japanese with subtitles and 2) its old.
