From today's 538:

"According to a recent Morning Consult poll, 82 percent of Sanders supporters say they would vote for Biden in the general election, and just 7 percent said they would vote for Trump. And Quinnipiac University found that 86 percent of Sanders voters would vote for Biden, 3 percent would vote for Trump, 2 percent would vote for someone else, 4 percent wouldn’t vote, and 5 percent didn’t know who they’d vote for."

Well, awreet then! :p

And, most of those who said they weren't sure they'd vote for Joe are the many incarnations of the cosmic entity we know as Moonbeam! :D:cool:;)

If the "no one else" Bernie Bros were even a factor in 2016, they probably won't be in 2020. They've seen what happens if the nominated Democrat doesn't win.

Yup Bernie or bust was offset by never Trumpers. It was the disillusioned dems and independents that didn’t want to vote Hillary or actually were hopeful and truly thought Trump would do something different from the establishment that swung the election.

I really want to know what's going on with that 7% (or the more-plausible-sounding 3% in the other poll)

I mean, 3% could just be people making angry noises, or accidentally ticking the wrong box. But 7%? Must be some weird thought-processes going on there.

I'm in that 4 percent that will not vote unless he supports what we want:

specifically:

- Free college/ job skill retraining
- Forgiveness of student loans
- Medicare that's significantly cheaper than the marketplace.

Then you need to shut the fuck up after the election if you don't vote....you have no credible voice left if you act like a petulant child who will only do his civic duty only if a candidate meets your purity test.

Edit: Tell you what, never mind my previous assertion. You just continue to stamp your little feet, acting like a 3 year old who's going to have a temper tantrum for not getting his absolute way in everything.... Just let me know how that ends up, OK?

Millenials need relief and you keep making strawmen out of your fucking ass namely purity tests.

Lets see how the election turns out by pissing off the largest demographic... millenials. I'll be LMAO when you're fucking crying that RBG is replaced by Neomi Rao.

You could have had 40 million new votes.. you just chose to listen to billionaire donors.

You reap what you sow!

Edit:
I dont mind a good debate!

I just think the US population has been duped into their way of thinking by successive governments and the interested parties. As soon as the word Socialism is mentioned, all hell breaks loose. Fox News gets hold of it and beats the drum. It is like the old war drums... All logical reasoning seems to go out the window, and with it discussion balancing the pros and cons.

If I hear Venezuela or this purity test bullshit again I will scream.

Just be intellectually honest and vote for Trump then because that is what your "strategy" is going to achieve.

Given that Trump won in the 2016 election because of approximately 50k votes (out of 250,000,000 eligible voters) seven percent of Bernie supporters acting like petulant crybabies looks like a very large problem to me.

- Free college/ job skill retraining- Ok within reason; no ivy league universities.
- Forgiveness of student loans - hell no! Man up or woman up and assume responsibility for your bills, you signed up for.
- Medicare that's significantly cheaper than the marketplace. Yes, needs to happen.

I and many other Americans have no desire to pay for your shit. Get up and do something with your life. And fuck you, I've got mine. /s

This is not a winning strategy.

Just because it takes becoming a person who knows one thing, that one doesn't know anything, opens the door to cosmic being doesn't mean that the idea of what it is to be a cosmic being is anything like what people who have not had that experience think of when they imagine cosmic beings. It just means that us cosmic beings walk around knowing we don't know what all the rest of you think you do. In short we walk around in a state of modesty that to people who imagine themselves to be modest experience jealousy of when they see at the real thing. To know you don't know anything makes you look very conceited to people who have not themselves accepted that fact.

But then, what sort of nut case does it take to walk around with a lantern in broad daylight looking for truth?

But what on earth tells you I am uncertain as to whether or not I will vote for Biden. I already voted for Sanders as my choice for candidate. If Biden wins the nomination there is no way in hell I would vote for anybody else. That, I thought, as also I voted Sanders Clinton last time, I have made very very clear.

I just don't see myself doing anything other than making the best choice that I can in a world full of sleeping voting machines. I am not voting with a sense of doom and gloom, that my vote really matters, or that I am engaged in some sacred task to save the world from a monster. I am simply going to vote as my personal responsibility to do the best I can as a nobody. I used to think the world had to be according to what I imagined it had to be for me to be happy but along the way I died to the idea that this poor fool would ever be happy. And then the big surprise. When I abandoned all hope for myself it came running to me. I defeated the nothing when I gave up.

When one door closes another opens. A saying

No you just have a giant desire to pay for billionaire's tax breaks, and their social programs and wars, while looking like the idiot who's making out when actually he's been had.

Ignorance is bliss. Long may it serve you!

Any vote not for Biden is a vote for Trump. If seeing the disaster of the last three years isn’t enough to make someone understand that Trump’s removal is more important than any other aspect of this election I doubt they will ever understand.

I for one am tired of trying to indulge these people. You ran your candidate in the primary and you lost, badly. Now it’s time to put your personal concerns aside confront the national emergency for the good of the country.

The problem was not any of the above during the 2016 election! The problem was those who stayed home and did not vote at all!!
