Can anyone explain the relationship of Graphics Power Plans (Maximum Battery Life, Balanced Mode, and Maximum Peformance) to GPU Core Clock and framerate?
According to GPU-Z while testing with FurMark, the clock is not dynamic even in Balanced Mode -i.e. it remains at the previously selected plan's frequency (450.0 or 1100.0 MHz). The power draw is still 0.0 W at idle so perhaps it is not a critical issue but it does imply that Maximum Performance must (practically) be selected for 3D.
Also, has anyone overclocked the GPU?
