Woodworking, food, code, robots, horrifying metal works, fluorine gas, whatever you just made yourself, post it here.

I just made my own Dubai Chocolate bars. Needs a little more sugar and maybe a touch of rosewater, but it's waaaay cheaper than buying them.

Get yourself some Cake Puck molds!

The green Dubai filling is pretty popular! FWIW I like the new Mini set:

Nice! I need to do a better job with the phyllo, it's very poorly chopped. This was my first time making Dubai chocolate, tempering chocolate, and working with phyllo, so I set the bar low. lol

My chocolate is too thick for my liking, I just want a hint of it, but I was worried I wouldn't put enough down and overdid it.

@biostud - I don't cook, bake, any thing of the sort but I used to like charcoal grilling. I can't really imagine how you bake cookies over an open fire. I guess some variation in the cooking temps isn't really a problem. Interesting.

edit - anyway, it sounds completely adorable. I would normally say "it sounds darling" but I don't think that word is ever coming back. Such a shame too.

If you add some coconut oil to the chocolate, it will thin it out a bit to make it more pourable & then help it set faster in the fridge.

They sell Knafeh on Amazon, which is pre-shredded phyllo dough. They even sell it roasted if you don't want to do it yourself!

The cookies were made in the oven. We would say it was "hyggeligt"

I doubt he made those cookies over an open fire, it was the marshmallows.

My hope is that it will make pictures of mineral samples pop a little more. We'll see. Fun to make even if it won't work.
