A brand new Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck.

Brand new to me... it's a 2012. Paid 5k. I had another deal on the go for 7k but guy ghosted me so found this one.

Not 100% finalized yet, still need to do all the paperwork and such, but they dropped it off for me so it's at least in my driveway now. I will try to see if I can get like 1k for my current one as-is. I'll ask 3k and see where it gets me. Tires alone were like $2500 or something only a few years ago. I had hoped to keep this truck longer but the rust made it beyond economical repair.

I need to sign up for an aggressive driving course now, pretty sure that's mandatory as a RAM owner. :p

How many miles/km? Closest I can find on Autotrader in the US is a 2010 with almost 300,000 miles for $6k. I'd love a decent truck, but prices are just stupid.

Yeah prices are nuts, this was basically the best I could do, was hoping to buy something a little newer but was just not finding anything without paying through the nose. This one has a bit over 200,000km. it's kinda a lot but I find the rust is what tends to get you before the engine does and this one is not too terrible given the year. Surface and fenders a bit and one side the rocker panels are kinda bad, but that's to be expected.

I had actually thought of leasing something for like 4-5 years until I can afford new, but even leasing is very expensive, it would cost me over 10k over several years. I can't really swallow the idea of putting 10k on something I don't even own.

My first lab class is tomorrow. Just worked it out with tuition and fees, but not my time, the aspirin I'll be making will cost me $76.20 per gram assuming I get a high yield. :p

With my time, it's... more.

A new 1lb to 20lb Coleman propane adapter hose for my 5lb tank. Lots of Chinesium hoses on Amazon but I'll pay a bit extra for what I hope is better manufacturing.

Paid $12.50 for a single 1lb Coleman propane tank while camping last week from a tiny market due to my tank hose failing.

Worked like a champ for 4yrs then decided to fail mid-camp trip!

With the end of windows 10 support coming in october, I'm fully moving over to Debian (linux mint debian edition).

Actually thought of buying 2 ssd's and trying fedora.

Finally decided to try a head shaver and picked up a Freebird Pro - only $60 clams. First head shave today in the shower, very happy, and aerodynamic. I'm in now. Just gotta do it every other day to keep up with it. My recently tanned head from a trip to Italy looks sexy as fook now.

It's hideously hot here so I cracked and bought a ninja slushie machine so I should have frozen margaritas on tap by the end of the week!

Also bought a double breasted linen suit for a wedding in the summer that's 70s-tastic and should go very well with cocktails!

I do need to work out some slushie drinks recipes!

The SkullShaver jingle is fantastic! If I was bald I'd buy one all because the jingle!

I am tired of shaving my head with razor. How the Freebird felt in your hand when you used it? Was the shaving close enough, or do you need to do a second run to make it smooth? I wonder how long will the blades last, since if replace you have to do all four.

I assumed its waterproof since you used it in shower.

It felt good in my hand, I held it with my palm. I did it in the shower with no mirror so I was just very thorough and it was almost perfect, once I got out and looked in the mirror I did a couple quick touch ups. I ordered some head shaving gel so I can just do it in front of the mirror when I brush my teeth in the morning.

I went through a couple of fazes where I did go to a barber and have my head shaved with a razor - and this was not quite that close of a shave, but not far off either. It is perfect for me, and super easy.

I like the Freebird Pro because price to performance it is great. I wanted a USB-C cable head shaver but the only one that has that is the Manscaping brand or something like that - and it's $150 - so not worth it right now.

I'll probably use this thing every other day in the morning. The Freebird has good features, and a large capacity to hold hair clippings, good battery life, waterproof, and it was super comfortable feeling.
