I just got finished seeing it and while I wasn't too enthralled with the plot or movie itself, the CGI and graphics were so seamlessly integrated that it made the movie enjoyable to watch. This is how CGI and computer graphics are supposed to be done, I loved the whole comic book feel of the movie with the multiple cut scenes and smooth scene transitions. Granted, the storyline was a bit boring and the actors sucked, the visuals almost more than made up for what was lacking in the movie.

plot sucked horribly, but that was the best cgi humanoid i've seen. animals/robots aliens are easy. the closer you get to human, the more small imperfections stand out and look groteque. in robotics its called the uncanny valley:)

So it was even better than Gollum's CGI in TTT?

gollum had good voice acting which was primarily responsible for his success. but in reality gollum was an animated corpse. this is accepted as thats what he was supposed to be, groteque and no where near the difficulty of realistic human. look at final fantasy, they were a closer, but a bit off and freaky as a result. the matrix short did better, but still somewhat wrong.

its like with traditional animation, the more deformed and exagerrated a character is, the more you can get away wtih. try drawing a truely realistic human and it becomes hard.

Unnatural for some stumpy, mutated grey guy? I could care less about LOTR, never read the books, it was just another movie.

Hulk was done pretty good. A lot of people don't realize that he's SUPPOSED to be huge, like in the comics. Gollum might have a slight edge, not sure, I would have to see both again side by side.

If you knew anything about the comics, you'd know the hulk is supposed to be that big. In fact, the more mad he gets, the bigger he gets.

TV show in the 70s was crap and has polluted people's minds about what the Hulk is supposed to be like.
