So let me ask you this HotChic-
What possessed you to get into HR?
My job kind of "fell on my lap"...fresh out of college, good pay...etc...but now, I feel like I'm "stuck". I'd like to move out of my current-state but it's not like Human Resources is a terribly easy field to get into, ESPECIALLY in a new state where there are different laws to learn and abide to.
I don't think anybody sets out to get into HR, and those that do don't stick around too long.

Mine was more or less an accident - my dad accidentally wound up in recruiting (with a background in music and comp sci) and I helped around the office. The experience landed me my first job and it kind of ballooned from there.
If there's a large company, there are plenty of HR jobs that aren't focused on the legal aspects. If it's a smaller company, you wind up as jack of all trades.
