I just had some from an independent wingery....Mayday is what they were called. Am I glad my intestines don't have any sort of heat receptors, or this would be an uncomfortable ight. However, tomorrow morning should be interesting to say the least.

What type of hot? *Real* heat like habanero or fake heat that is cheated with vinegar(Hooters 911 atomic hot for example)?

The vinegar ones tend to stick with you *all the way*. Real heat from actual peppers are much more forgiving once they get past your mouth.

Its better/hotter in chili. On wings or other solids it doesn't always do as much damage since it sometimes gets swallowed without hitting anything.

Anyways, the hottest wings that I've had are whatever Hooters' hottest wings are.

These are the hottest I've had. They're not meant to be food, but apparently there are a few people who treat them that way.

When I had them 3 or 4 years ago, they were vicious. :)

When I got my bottle of Blair's After Death (roughly equivalent to Dave's Insanity I believe - 50,000 scoville units) I didn't really know what to expect. I put a generous quantity on a wing - about as much as I'd use if it was Frank's Red Hot or something like that. Man, that was unpleasant.

I used to eat a lot of really hot sauces, but now I'm all about flavorful sauces. My favorite is Blair's Sweet Death. I'm not above vinegar-based sauces either, like Crystal or Texas Pete. I loathe carrot-based sauces. Disgusting. I bought a few once at someone's recommendation... never again.

Carrots in hot sauce is like pickles in ice cream.

That's BS. Real peppers make you have to go really bad. And then when you try to go you can't. And then when you finally go it feels like you're passing a dumpling that's been laced with razorblades. The only reason I eat peppers is because they taste soooo damn good, but I always consider the consequences...

Just had some last night. I can chow down the regular blazin' without a drink or celery, but eating the boneless blazin' was painful.

Seriously. But you wouldn't believe how many are carrot-based! There's a hot sauce store near me that I go to whenever I'm out that way, and I always have to check the back of the bottle before I buy something different.

I don't know why I bother anymore, after all of the dozens I've tried I always go back to Blair's Sweet Death.

I hear they got rid of the Thai sauce, is that true? That was their best sauce. :( I was debating on driving down to Delaware for dinner some time, but it's not worth it without the Thai sauce.

 Plucker's Fire in the hole!

(Actually it's more Fire out the hole next morning...)

Plucker's kicks ass! But I think they're a Texas-only chain (I think one in Baton Rouge, LA now too?).
