We used to get wasabi in powder form and then add water. Tried snorting a bit once, not a good idea

I think a Chinese restaurant is more likely to have horseradish sauce than wasabi

Buy some Colmans powdered mustard. Its available in almost every supermarket. Mix it with some water (or a little vinegar) and you will have hit mustard very similiar to Chinese restaurant mustard.
