I downloaded and installed the "High Performance Liquid" theme for my Redhat distro and I'm pretty impressed. The transparency effects and some of the subtle touches like stipling make the KDE actually look more advanced than Windows - which makes for a change because most of the time I think KDE seems to be chasing after Windows, not leading the way forward.
It was a pain to compile and install because, I'm not that great at Linux and especially compiling things (or at least fixing things when compiling doesn't automatically work), and Liquid didn't install correctly automatically. But I figured out that it was compiling correctly. It was just putting the files in the wrong location. So I moved them by hand.
But if you use KDE, I would recommend at least trying out Liquid. One strange thing - which may be my imagination, it's hard to tell since it's a subtle effect - is that it seems to speed up KDE a little.

Speaking of those screenshots, does anyone know how to change icons from the default ones in KDE to the icons in that screenshot?
