So last night my wife and I were engaged in pre-dawn, horizontal insertion. The activities were getting rather... rigorous and a lot of shifting around was involved. Well, she shifted one way and I the other and out of nowhere there was a audible "pop" that I felt at the base of my wangable area. Both of us looked at each other in a kind of WTF manner, but not feeling any pain we both continued to its inevitable end.

Anyone here ever had that happen before, and if so... WTF?

If it "pops" the wrong way though, watch out. It is possible for it to "break," and from what I understand, mortal beings are not fit to experience such pain.

Yep, exactly. It's like, when it happens during sex it's almost kinky, but when you're thinking about it while NOT having sex, it's just uncomfortable.
