I bought a pair of Sennheiser HD600 headphones off ebay. Product was supposed to be NIB. I have a guide here http://reviews.ebay.com/How-to...ugidZ10000000001458264 that says how u can spot fake headphones. Mine have a gold plated jack. How can I check if my headphones are original and legit? Anyone please help!
update:
called Sennheiser today and spoke to a tech. He said there really is nothing he can do to tell me if they are legit. The headphones don't come with a serial number (which is kinda dumb considering they are so expensive). We went over a few headphone details and he said they seem legit. He said I have 2 options if I really want to know. 1. Is to send them into Sennheiser and get them checked out. 2. Go to a local store that carries them here, a pro audio store, and have them take a look at them. Tomorow Im going to pass by one downtown and see what they say.
update2:
Here is modification to setup. I figured that I am certainly no Audiophile (yet at least), and dishing out 350 bucks for an amp is pretty costly. So I got my dads old 1992 Pioneer reciever, VSX-3600. Connected that and there is certainly a huge difference. I actually have bass in the headphones now and they got 100 times louder, I actually demolished myself by having them on when plugging them in and got boomed by the sound. What do you people think? Also what volume % should I be running my sound card at? Currently Im at 80 % but I heard there is distortion etc at certain levels, not too sure.
Here are 2 pics
