If I knew this was an M. Night movie I would have seen something else. Of course, I was 95% sure it was an M. Night movie about 1/3 of the way into it, then 100% sure 2/3 through. This guy should just take a dump in a box every day and sell it on eBay as people would pay for it anyway and it would save the rest of us from sitting through another one of his awful movies.
I only saw this as I had caught a trailer a little while ago and thought it looked like a typical popcorn summer movie, never noticing who made it. I don't know how he does it, but he seems to make all of his movies start with some suspense, then just let it drag on until everyone can't wait to leave the theater. Same as with The Village, he has to explain what's happening over and over, as if the audience has an average IQ of 30. Just as the movie is about to end, and the audience is all checking the time as they can't wait to leave, he opens it up a bit and you think he might actually leave it a bit open ended. But NOOO, he has to have one last boring, obvious scene, just to make sure the people with IQ's < 30 actually KNOW 100% FOR SURE what is happening.
The only thing in the movie that makes you feel anything are all of the scenes of dead people and suicide. It was a bit much, and added nothing to the story, but I guess he or the producers felt it was needed since the script sucked.
This is as much time as I care to waste on another M. Night piece of garbage.
