Thanks for the update. I was kept awake all night last night worrying about the guy with the $50k Corvette and how sick he and his wife were over the presciption bottles being found in his car...

The guy took his car in to get his cars antenna fixed, but one of the workers took it for a joyride or test, wrecked it. When the police searched the vehicle, they found pills under the seat and the dealer said he wouldn't pay for it until now.

I think you tend to forget what this car means to the common man. It's the poor man's ferrari; and I don't believe that rich people own these cars. Poor people buy them, after scraping and suffering and working hard for every dollar for years and years.

I've never seen anyone driving a new Corvette that had to "suffer" to be able to buy it. At worst, he is an upper-middle class guy that had to adjust his budget a little. The only suffering he went through was switching to the store brand fabric softener.

I've seen lots of people with Vettes who had to sacrifice for it. Sure, they may not be going hungry but logically they have no business spending 60K+ on a car. To these people it's a passion that becomes a sole financial priority.

Let's face it, if 60K is nothing to a person, those people with passion for cars usually end up with something European and over 100K

He didn't get it yet, and no one is sure if it's a going to be a new one or not

No one in their right mind would think he deserves a NEW car. He's expecting a comprable car - same color, options, mileage.
