What I've said all along- Iraq is the biggest rightwing porkbarrel of all time-

http://www.rollingstone.com/po...the_great_iraq_swindle

From the article-

What the Bush administration has created in Iraq is a sort of paradise of perverted capitalism, where revenues are forcibly extracted from the customer by the state, and obscene profits are handed out not by the market but by an unaccountable government bureaucracy. This is the triumphant culmination of two centuries of flawed white-people thinking, a preposterous mix of authoritarian socialism and laissez-faire profiteering, with all the worst aspects of both ideologies rolled up into one pointless, supremely idiotic military adventure -- American men and women dying by the thousands, so that Karl Marx and Adam Smith can blow each other in a Middle Eastern glory hole.

Wrapped in Old Glory, dripping with mauldlin pseudo-patriotism and terrar hysterics, the tune plays on...

Pardon me while I puke...

Bush and his cronies would like to thank the Democrats for their aid in setting up the bloated federal government which was required for him to undertake this raping of the American taxpayer. From overly broad interpretation of the commerce clause to the absurdly high federal tax rate, none of this would have been possible without the total complicity of the Democrats. Too bad in their rush to destroy any semblance of states rights and set up their darling nanny state, they failed to realize that someday someone like Bush might take advantage of all of those things.

Why would I deflect? To defend a president I never voted for? Great argument, fool.

I guess the truth is simply too much for you to bear.

Doesn?t matter each side screws us in their own special way. The thing with Bush is that it?s blatant.

Unfortunately, NOBODY listened to Dwight Eisenhower's farewell speech when he left office about the Military industrial complex (the term he coined himself).

In war, its not clear if truth or accountability is really the first causality. As Gingrich points out the war against terrorism may be phony, but this thread is just another example that GWB&co. seems to be waging a multi fronted war against accountability and is now almost totally victorious against accountability. Nor does GWB lack for recruits in a war against accountability, and all they ask in return is for us to look the other way while they rob everyone blind.

Corruption may be endemic to the human condition but GWB&co elevates it to a self sustaining institution.

Dunno why you would deflect, yet you did.
