I just finished reading this book. wow. thats all i can say.

some people say it sucks.. i loved it.

It's been a LONG time since I read it, but from what I remember, it was pretty good. I'm not a big Fitzgerald fan though.

I didn't care for the writing style. Its an OK book in my opinion. If you want to read a GREAT book read Red Badge of Courage by Stephen Crane.
 
I hated that book. I cannot stand his style of writing.

Now Crime and Punishment on the other hand... <-- by far the best book I had to read in high school

Gatsby beats the whole year of "the man" keeping me down books I had to endure in HS

That was one of the few books I have enjoyed reading in high school.

I mean, there was no real point to the story, but I liked how it was written and it was a pretty good story.
