PROCESSOR-wise
AMD has a better design than intel's P3 since it is a much more modern design

STABILITY-wise
Intel wins due to their all time favourite BX

AMD aren't going to kick intel unless their supporting platform are stable

<< Intel has historically had a much lower total cost of ownership then AMD and there is no evidence that this has changed. >>

After looking at that again, I kinda have to disagree with this one point. I think the truth is actually "Intel has historically had a much lower total cost of ownership then VIA or ALi and there is no evidence that this has changed".

But wholey agree with the rest.

Lo again,

After reading the recent posts i am wondering why a company like nVida would be planning on going into the motherboard chipset market and possibly (dont know for sure as i dont know enough of the details like u guys) be doing chipsets with integrated video etc for "AMD" systems? Surely if a company like this is going down this avenue it shows that they at least must have some faith in the future of the AMD based system as a Business solution? hmmm?
I dont know too much about the details of the above but would like to hear some opinions on this and the implications it will have ;)
