Let the games begin... In the Great Cracking Game, all participants guess on what day TA will officially pass /. in the DNET RC5-64 overall rankings (clarification added in response to Qythyx's question). Here are the rules:

To participate, you must be a TA member (no DPCs allowed ) and agree to crack 1000 blocks for whoever wins (or someone else, chosen at the winner's discretion) after we have passed /.

If you agree to crack the blocks as described above, you pick a calendar day when you think TA will pass /.. Once you've claimed a day, nobody else can pick the same day. Guessing will be open until 12:00 midnight, eastern time, this Sunday July 16th (as determined by the timestamp on your post here). Any guesses offered beyond that time will not be accepted into the contest.

In the event that we pass /. on a day that was not picked by anyone, the winner will be whoever was closest (*** with one exception described below). If there is a tie between two people equally close to the correct day (ie 2 days ahead and 2 days behind), they will split the prize.

*** Exception--if the date we actually pass /. is AFTER the latest guess entered or BEFORE the earliest guess entered, the person who had the closest guess on the end of the range (either the earliest or the latest guess) does NOT get the blocks. If this occurs, there will be a random drawing operated by Virge and/or JonB to designate the winner.

I will keep track of the guesses. You are welcome to change your guess as much as you want as long as it is done BEFORE the deadline, and as long as nobody else has the date that you're changing to.

How's that sound? Assuming everybody's happy with the rules, you can start posting guesses as replies to this thread.

Ok, I've made an address:

If TwoFace's plan sounds good to everybody, then all Crack Game participants can now start cracking 1000 blocks each (a little more's ok too) for crackgamewinner@hotmail.com. That address will then be retired into Semper_Fi's dnet account.

Sorry for not paying up before... I'll get right on it, but since my Inet connection has been gone since friday I haven't been online all weekend :|, and didn't see this until now 😱 I'll start one machine at once when I get home from work!
