The great chicken debate

Here we are again with another of the worlds great debates. Next week our office will be having a wing eating contest and I worry since I don't think one wing = one drummie. I need a correct ratio since I beleive it is more like 1.2 drummies = 1.0 wing. Please post your ratios and I'll average them together at the end to make the final mean ratio for next week and post the results, with pics.

The last time we went out two people hit 50 wings/drummies, I dropped out at 20.

For eating contest, wings is easier to down because most people don't eat between the bones, and you'll have a higher wing count. But if you have to eat the whole wing, including what's between the bones, then a large wing will have more meat than the mini drum that's attached to the same wing.

Who doesn't eat between the bones?? Thats perfectly good meat.

You people must be smoking crack though, because a drumstick is much bigger than a wing. Are you talking about the part that attaches to the two wing bones?

its obviously a drumstick has more meat. And I prefer drumsticks more so because they aren't made up of mostly skin like the wing.. ick!

is a "drummies" a drumstick? or are you talking about the part of the wing that is closest to the chicken?

are you talking about the 2 parts of the wing? or are you talking about wings and drumsticks?

But the skin is the best part....so fatty...mmm...

Drumsticks obviously have more meat than wings.

Per pound, there is more meat in the middle portion than in the "drumstick" portion of the wing.

Generally, the drumstick portion is larger, but in places (usually grocery stores) that sell them by the pound, you get more meat with the middle section.

<--- from Western NY, has (unfortunately) eaten more wings than most of you ever will.
