anyone remember that show? it was hilarious.so have you seen chucky baby's new movie? whats your opinion. confessions from a guilty mind, or just mindless entertainment?

i used to watch the show when i was a kid and i heard about the movie, there was some special about the gong show/chuck berris (sp?) on VH1 or some channel a couple weeks ago

his transcripts do, didn't know that he wrote a book out of them
it says that the movie is based on his transcripts and interviews w/ people he has worked with, but I sorta doubt the validity of the story. in the movie he moves around the world as the chaperon for The Dating Game, which he produced.I remember the show, and do remember some of the winners being sent to some strange places.not the usual "vacation" spots

a little search pulled up the fact that he did, indeed, write an "autobiography" which was rich in detail

However, Barris offers a disturbingly detailed account in the book. Detailing one mission, he writes:

I jammed my automatic into his mouth. The front of the silencer broke teeth as it went in ? I pulled the trigger three times. The man's eyes remained surprised while the back of his head splattered against the wall of the church."

It's also a little disturbing that winners on The Dating Game received free trips to "Swingin' West Berlin" and "Beautiful Helsinki." Why not Miami? Barris purportedly chose the vacation destinations and traveled as a chaperon to create a cover for his cloak-and-dagger games
