Sure they do. When SFIV came out, multiplayer was full of people. Most were noobs, but a few were extremely good. Even a year after there was still competition online. Dont know whats the story now since most moved on to play the Arcade edition. I am sure there will be competition for Mortal Kombat.
 
I picked it up yesterday.

It has been quite a few years since I've played a fighting game but after playing the tutorial, it all started coming back.

Many, many days spent standing in front of a MKII cabinet.
