the godfather

you must be like...13

edit: no pun intended...its a great movie. slow in the beginning but story picks up after 4 or 5 hours. 🙂

great series. Never saw it until I read the book for a college english class, then watched all 3 parts 🙂

I don't get into all the mafia shows and movies, but the Godfather really is great. The first two are classics. I STILL haven't seen the third one all the way through. It was just such a letdown after the other two.

I did a film analysis of Godfather part II, watched it many times.

I would like to read that!

I'd send it to you if I could find it, but I don't know what I did with it..... Its an awesome movie from the technical viewpoint.

Along with Godfather 2 , they are perhaps the best movies ever made. Fantastic period pieces with dynamic acting. The characters actually make you think they are real. You feel as if you have stepped back in time when you watch them, especially the extended versions with DeNiro flashing back to Italy and turn of the century New York. Simply brilliant moviemaking.

Peace

<---------------------- Obviously yes, hence my nick (and my cat's name Don Vito Corleone, which predated my nick). The Godfather is my favorite film.

Godfather one and two are so incredibly amazing. I watched the third one but didnt like it. Fortunately, it didnt ruin the first 2, I just avoid the 3rd like the plague.

Heh. I watched them a few years ago.

Then an arthouse theater in town showed all three, two one night and one the next. I saw them again, on the original film, too. I feel all special.

GREAT movies.

haha. "He made him an offer he couldn't refuse"

BWAHAHAHA

By the way, are the books any good? I'm looking for reading material. Movies are schweeet.

I believe the first is the only one that was a book. It was pretty good but had some weird stuff, like a gynecological plastic surgeon guy who helped out his girlfriend. Yes it was quite odd.

Ok well write it up again, I'll expect it on my desk first thing in the morning.

godfather 1 and 2 are such awesome movies, they have to be seen.

the book was pretty good and the adapation is pretty spot on, with of course cutting out people who aren't as necessary, such as lucy mancini.
