This helmet (with it's low level electromagnets) gives the user the ability to reach a deep meditative state which (up until now) has only been attainable by Indian Shamen, Gifted individuals, Christian and Buddhist Monks who have spent a life time learning how to put themselves into deep meditative states.
Many of the test subjects have had OBE's (Out of body experiences) and spoken to dead relatives, Christ, demons, or experienced prophetic events etc. This is not a joke, it is backed by scientific research headed by Michael Persinger a Sudbury neurologist at the Laurentian University of Ontario Canada.

People think they're talking to dead relatives or jesus, but in fact it's all hallucinations. I have no doubt people think they are having out of body experiences, but I just don't believe in them.

I have the credit card in my hot hands, so that I can chat with Howard Hughes about that pesky missing will......

I also need to find out is Shirley Mcclaine is legit. I NEED the helmet, though she claims to be just fine without it.

I never had an out of body experience, but I did manage to scramble the electrical impulses to my brain. Years and years ago, after smoking dope (which i gave up years ago), I laid out nice and horizontal and listened to the steady rush in my head, sort of like static on a radio. Eventually I could pick up higher tones and concentrated on those. The first thing I noticed is that my perception of my right and left arms had become transposed and that the space my mind occupied actually grew large so that my feet felt like they were attached to my chin. This really happened. Next thing I knew I could feel nothing but pure energy as if I were a cloud with pulses surging through me. No sense of arms or legs, just pure energy. It didn't last long, but it was absolute bliss.

I have tried to reproduce this once or twice and have gotten my arms transposed or the feeling like my body was almost encompassed in the space of mind, but I have never been the cloud of energy I once was for an instance.

I believe I merely managed to scramble the inputs to my brain.

When someone tells me about an out of body experience, I don't automatically disregard it as fiction. Even if it only happens inside our minds, as long as it SEEMS real, isn't that just as good? It's still good fun.

Laurentian University is like a tier 3 university in Ontario, their backing is less stellar than one might think. You need a 60 or something to get into the University, the tier 1 schools need a 90+ average. Their research capabilities are nothing to write home about, and tend to attract more "teaching" profs than knowledgable profs.

If any Laurentian grads are here, sorry for dragging your school through the mud, just consider me a Queen's Uni snob :)

I don't know about exposing my brain to magnetic fields (!?!), but I am certain there is something that is at least fun and relaxing to be gained from meditation. There just might be something there.

isnt your brain exposed to them right now?
this whole situation seems to depend more on the "experiment chamber" or "isolation chamber"

That thing looks retarded. For $340, at least try and make it look cool. That looks like something a kid on a shortbus would wear.

The short bus people are the only ones falling for it. ;)

Actually it is the Bush Admin buying these with tax payers $$ out of the SSI funds to pay for these for the short bus kids of course. I think enron is outsourcing them... I think they chant a few words from the bible and bless the helmets just so they could get it to pass by the supreme courts.

I hear the chimp purchased one for all of his staff (now you know where that missing $$ went in IRAQ) ... Wears it nightly to ask god what to do next....

 :) ;) :D :p
