I think I remember a big controversy back in the day when they killed off Duke (which is still plainly obvious if you watch the animation and ignore the dialogue) but changed the words around to say he survived to avoid the Optimus Prime backlash that happened with Transformers. Also, anyone ever wonder why anybody carries a gun in GI Joe? They can't hit the broad side of a fucking barn. Nobody ever gets shot EVER. Better to be a ninja with a sword and throwing stars imo.

Pretty much the end of my GI Joe childhood, never did like the creatures they were coming out with.
