Community didn't want to talk about it but they were getting raped on a regular basis. Waking up with rope burns, blood, semen, and ripped clothes. Thought it was demons. Had roarming headaches and felt ill. Eventually people started talking and it turned out almost half of the families, over 100 people, were being raped on a regular basis. The community leaders did nothing. They caught a couple kids eventually and they ratted out the rest. They had been using cow tranquilizer to drug the women and rape them in their beds. They got 25 years in prison. The vet got 20 something.

The problem is the rapes haven't stopped. And men are being raped too.

I want to feel sorry for them but the ignorance is so thick in this community it's making it harder. Just the fact that they thought demons were causing them to wake up in the morning with blood and semen on their sheets, dirt or grass in their bad and pieces of rope still tied to them... if that didn't launch a serious community wide investigation instead of secrecy and 'oh it's just Satan nothing we could do about it'...
