It's Friday and I need something to play. Tron 2.0 it is! Almost finished it in 2003. This time I'm finishing it!

Playing mod-less in all its 4:3 glory. At least it will be 2133x1600 with AA and not AA-less 1024x768 like it was in '03.

My major label work started with Blood and ended with Tron2.0. We thought it was a great game, it just didn't sell well. I left before the WB buyout, and was glad I did.

Yes, but I don't want to go into any detail.
I am glad that when the game was abandoned that players kept it going!
Things were fun when I started with Monolith in the 90's, but it's just not the same in the PC game business anymore, and near the end of my time there it started going downhill.
Let's just say "The Saint" was no saint...

Discs only program.

It was an awesome game. Better then the TRON sequel movie for sure. Sound always messes up when I try to play in anymore though.

You and your brother in law worked for Monolith?

The sound is good for me. No problems with it. The only problem I have is that the game takes a while to load. A couple of minutes after starting from the launcher. Other than that it's fine.

Regardless if you actually worked for Monolith or not, I think Tron 2.0 is a great game. People complained about the linearity of the gameplay in 2003. Compare it to any mass produced CoD game made today and Tron 2.0 doesn't seem as bad as it was made out to be.

Speaking of monolith, have you played No One Lives Forever 1/2?

Monolith made some great games back in the day, wonder what happened to them. Anyway, NOLF 2 is a hell of a game if you haven't played through it yet.

Don't forget Shogo: Mobile Armor Division.

No One Lives Forever 2 is a great game from start to finish. My memory is a little fuzzy on the whole thing though. It's been 11 years since I played through it. It's been even longer since I played through Shogo, Blood 2, and AvP 2.

Tron 2.0 remains one of my favorite shooters, always felt like it was inspired by System Shock 2 to me, so maybe that's why I like it so much. The graphics hold up quite well with the stylized art direction as well, and I wouldn't be surprised if you could get SSAO working in it with ENB, as it works with NOLF2 on the same engine.
