Finished the game yesterday. It's pretty good, although not exactly superb. The game was released in 2009 by The Farm 51. A polish developer started by former People Can Fly developers. The game uses a significantly modified version of the Painkiller engine. They recently released Painkiller - Hell & Damnation.

When I first played NecroVision in '09 with two GTX 280s and a 1.5TB HDD, it had some performance problems in DX10 and the load times were crazy high. With new hardware the load times are a fraction of what they use to be and the framerate is butter smooth at 2560x1600 with everything maxed. Makes for a much more enjoyable experience.

The setting and story are really good. It's just that the voice acting is beyond cheesy and the cut scenes tend to deminish the quality of the game. Some of the level design is a little rough around the edges as well.

It's a good game overall. Now I need to play NecroVisioN - Lost Company.
