The game of go

Is anyone good at this game? It's so hard to beat any computer at it. I can beat people equally as inept as myself but I can't get a good game of go in my computer.

I've played a little go-moku and a Americanized version called (I think) "gangsters" that came out after the Godfather movies, but to me games like chess and go are too much like what I do all day (software development). After work I'd much rather decapitate someone with a ripper or bash goblins in Dungeon Siege

my grandpa is professional level and i have a cousin who wins a ton of championships

i however, having never really played it all that much, suck at it.
