The Future of Technology

Corrected spelling.

Someone needs to mass produce the flux capacitor first, thats all I need to finish my prototypes of all 3.

Edit - I need them in the Jigafarad range too.

Technology has no future...its old news.

All kidding aside, Im so sick and tired of hearing about robots. Robots are the wave of the future!! They have been saying that for what...60 years? Just shutup about the robots already.

Well, it's probably true. I worked on a fairly simple, but powerful version some 26 years ago; it was designed to take engine blocks off of one line and put them on another. The sophistication has excelled considerably, over the years.

You are right, though ... it's likely been at least 60 years.

It's the "Quantum Leap" article that disturbed me most. Given I'm slowly turning into an old fart, I can see how much society has changed, with the advant of the computer and communications technology. Social relations, especially amongst young people, have changed entirely. Imagine what the future will be like if computing capacity and its applications increase exponentially!

Will it be a good thing?

No. Just look at peoples social graces now and the armpit that is myspace.

There was a prediction long ago that people would turn to their computers for socialization instead of real interaction. Seems like it came true.

As I type this on an Internet message board.

WTF are you setting weapons to maximum for? 😛

Nice find! The CNN one really reminded me of Ghost In The Shell, it being the year 2030 among other things.

I'm gonna be so OOOOOLLLLLDD by the year 2030 though 🙁
