Based on my limited knowledge, am I correct that this socket will last only two years, being replaced in 2021 with something completelly different?

There are already several active threads where
this can be discussed.

Most probably, same goes for AM4 and Intel 1151/2066 all those will be replaced when DDR-5 will arrive in 2021.
