You're looking at a car in the neighborhood of 1300 kilos (about 2860 pounds, roughly equal to a VW GTI). And you would need at least 300 horsepower. I would love to have a car like that in our range. It would also be a good thing to get the interest of younger customers again. This would only be a story for the next 1 Series, so you'd be looking at 2014 or so."

Sounds good, now if they would just fix that ugly body...

BTW-A co-worker of mine just bought a 2008 335i sedan. She took me for a ride in it yesterday and that thing is a brute. Pricey though.

Yeah, I love it. I thought my G35 sedan 6MT was fast. The 335i blows it away. The 08s were much cheaper than the 09s and I would have preferred the cheaper one but there were no 08s in stick anywhere. 🙁

She bought it used. Not a stick but it shifts quite fast...unlike my wife's Lexus. I normally hate manumatics but this one was more performance oriented.

I think BMW should do what Porsche does with the M series, keep what works and perfect it instead of radical changes.

LOL, how did that came out like that?

I meant "...BMW should do to their M series what Porche does with their 911's..."

I'd like to see an M1. That way I could own a 1 series without driving a legitimately perceived chick car.

I'd much rather a big happy V8 than a turbocharged six.

Buy a porsche V8. 😉

Never liked the looks of Porsches.

Hrmm, I didn't either for a while, but I have to say, I love their 911 Carrera S.

Also, that new V8 Porsche does look cool, but the back needs to go stat.
