Convincing brainwashed people that ATI has vastly improved on drivers is like convincing brainwashed Intel loyalists that AMD has vastly improved. I cant speak about Win2K, but in Win98SE my Radeon worked right out of the box and even better with a driver update. You have to understand that Radeon is not meant to win a framerate contest at any cost, it's meant to give consistant quality while scaling up resolutions and bitdepth. Does it run faster than a GeForce2 GTS at 640x480x16xlow-quality? No. Does it produce beautiful 3D at 1024x768x32xhigh-quality with more than playable framerates? Absolutely. I have yet to encounter a problem in any games, and ATI actually releases new beta drivers fairly often. ATI is far from dead, infact I think we've reached a point were people are more intrested in quality and features that raw speed, in which case ATI is the clear choice.
