doomed if we don't get the eco-KOOKS out of the public policy loop.

You have the political development of a six year old.

Clueless about issues, screaming to destroy the environment, calling names.

Grownups support things like national parks and the EPA.

Children turn red in the face yelling 'eco kooks' and chanting Koch anti-EPA slogans.

It doesn't matter how much money you feed the government because it will never solve the problem. They will always spend more than they have. It is easy to do so when you are spending money you simply confiscate and don't have to earn and you can print more money when you run out of credit.

Correct. It won't solve any problems at all because Big Government will always seek new and inventive ways to burn through money in order to justify it's existence and thus create additional problems to be dealt with as side effect of their own actions. Be it through literal or figurative wars for the "common good".

Well, as for the future of America? (disregarding taxes) I fear we will see very stupid dumbed down people seeking the office of president. Remove Obama, Huntsman and "maybe" Ron Paul from the equation this cycle, and God only knows who America would elect.
And then imagine something like the 1962 Cuban Missile crisis happening, and...well... bye bye human race. And the worst part, that retarded president, and much of congress, would probably survive.
People look at the Bachmann's, the Perry's, the Newt's, the Romney's, and the Cain's and feel that political ideology the only issue.
With any one of these morons in office, the voters have not one clue just how bad it could easily become, easily to the point of the very survival of the human race.
But.... hell. Maybe we deserve to learn that lesson the hard way.
The few of us that might survive to tell the story......... That is.

I wouldn't have a problem with you calling Gingrich an asshole, but "stupid" or a "moron" he's not. Try to be a little more accurate when you're spouting gloom and doom or no one will take you seriously.

$10 donated to a reputable charity will do a lot more to help people in need than giving it to the government.

The scientific community thanks you. If everyone contributed $10 we could fund more studies like these:

LOL And I have no doubt we will, too. (Shouldn't the Catholic Church be picking up the tab for studying whether distant prayer can cure AIDS?)

This. As P.J. O'Rourke famously said, giving money and power to D.C. is like giving liquor and car keys to teenage boys. Except teenage boys generally want to screw people not yet paying taxes.
