Agreed, they are playing the system. However, people have always done that, and even long birth-citizens aren't above that (in regars to benefits).
Like I said, the difference is that Asians don't have their home country right next door to whip up their nationalism, nor do they hold the view that this entire society is decadent.
They either, as illegal immigrants, accept that they have no rights and remain under the radar, while subsequent generations become part of society, without forcing the rest of society make any accomodations.
Sooooo...if illegals assimilate (and then it depends on how you view assimilation) you are totally fine with any type of immigration regardless of what it is, and where they come from. Gotcha.

to take it further- what CAN immigrants keep from the "homeland" and bring it over? Food shouldn't be a problem. Curry vs Cumin vs Jasimine rice is all fine and dandy, correct? Language? Speaking your own language and having your child be fluent in both host countries language and your own is fine, right? What about a Hijab? Should she be able to wear a hijab (if she chooses to of course), or must she "assimilate" and rid herself of it.
Of course anyone who wants to force others to dress, act, speak, or talk another way is stupid and needs to be slapped on the head. But I'm talking about voluntary actions right now. The RIGHT to speak your own language, eat your own food, dress how you want.
Any muslims in europe who want to force non muslim (well ANY women muslim or non muslim) to wear a hijab, not eat pork, etc. etc. should be slapped because you have a case of someone who is
controlling. So as long as THEY don't eat pork, or wear a hijab, or drink it should be a concern if someone else doesn't. If they are bothered about it that much they are insecure with themselves.
If you want to be worried about a select group of Muslims FORCING the rest of society to conform to their views...then I will agree with you. But to act as if all Muslims, or more generally any group of people, are going to force a different life style on everyone is ridiculous.
Though let us consider something interesting: when you have mass migration people will cling on their cultures because it will be easier since there are many others around them that share that same culture. So if anything its natural to see peices of the immigrants culture recreated in the host culture. Assimilation is always a two way street whether both parties realize it or not
