The friday before I start my new job...

Thinking of emailing my supervisor and saying "Just confirming Monday as my start date. See you then!" or something like that.

Is this something you're supposed to do? Or do you just go without talking to them for weeks and then show up?

i would call, but then im a consultant and my first day is going to a client's site already. so i HAD to call

Well, my boss and I have communicated via email since my interview... and I'm not sure of his direct number?

Before I started my job, I emailed the Director of Accounting (the person who interviewed me) and I personally thanked him for the job.
