Yes, thank god. I had to *gasp* find other things to do other than screw around on the computer all day.

Guess I got lucky then when my central AC's compressor went out and I got to go buy and install a 12,000BTU window-unit. Our lovely county has seen fit to ban all R-22 based replacements so I would have had to cough up $4K for a complete new system, fuck that $350 sounds better to me although it was a beast to install it's actually cooling awesome..

It means your DNS records are old.

I thought about that but it seems odd for that not to have resolved for something like 24 hours. I was out all weekend and only checked sporadically, otherwise I probably would have done a manual flush of the local cache, anyway, to see if that helped.

sometimes i wonder if there's a conspiracy to ban members for the sole purpose of reducing server space and maintenance downtime.

Today is the first day since the data center move that I've gotten anything on the forums except the maintenance message. I wish DNS providers were quicker at updating their data.

This is important: in this, are we batteries, or sustenance? I much prefer batteries, I think. :hmm: So long as we get a Matrix-like world on which to focus our attention.
