6:43am where I'm at.

Is the forum REALLY slow for anyone else?

Update:
Forums seems to be fine now. However it seems RTPE is still out of action.

Will wait for word on this...

It's the dynamic server... again.

Add dynamic.anandtech.com to your adblock.

The Anandtech dynamic server... only prostitutes go down more.

Yep! Takes a full minuet to enter a forum and topic.

Meh! I have several other forums to visit anyway. If this keeps happening, I'll join Kiwi and many others elsewhere. :D

Thanks BDawg, but FF killed some saved stuff and I switched back to IE for now.

What?

I'm not using adblock.
Put it in your hosts.ini file with address 127.0.0.1

I find it slow when opening threads, and I have had AT's dynamic ad server blocked since I joined pretty much. I think it is due to high traffic at the times I visit.

I don't know wish I knew myself. I clicked by accident on a link he had, but didn't meant to mark it as the answer.

Adding dynamic.anandtech.com to the Adblock List did the trick. Wow, it's so much faster now. Thanks, BDawg!

Something else I found out: If you have the adblock filterset set to automatically update, the new version doesn't keep your custom settings. I had to re-add dynamic.anantech.com.

Edit: There's a place in the updater for adset where you can add servers you want to persist. I added dynamic there.

Yeah, I think so. I believe the dynamic server is for dynamic ads. Either way, it's a real POS.

If you ever noticed when the forums are really slow, the ads at the top and side don't appear at all. That probably has something to do with the dynamic server.

Actually both the forum and the RTPE were down this morning and yesterday morning. Currently RTPE is still down.
Not sure the cause but I do not run any adblocking software here at work yet it's still not loading.

It seems to be extremely slow for me as well.

Aflac, are those nonexistent ads limited to Firefox or do they happen to IE as well?

Not my fault

Hello everyone, we are aware of the problems and we are working towards their resolution. dynamic should be fine now, and we're still waiting on the report for labs/rtpe. Hopefully that will be finished soon. Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience.
